Christianity is not cultural, political, social or economic. Jesus did not call us to solve the worlds problems. He did call us to “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you.” (Mat 28:19-20) Teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you. So then we are to preach the Gospel and observe the things that Christ has commanded us. Certainly preaching the Gospel is a commandment. Probably the most important. But I don’t think it can be effectively done by ignoring His other commandments. Can you name other commandments of Christ found in the Bible?

I get the feeling watching for Him is an important commandment. We do not want to be caught unaware. Study the warnings and the repercussions carefully.

Amen Brother, thanks for posting! Exercising authority over one another is one of the most misunderstood commands in my mind. Maybe willfully so. Jesus served so we should follow His example. “but I am among you as he that serveth”. I appreciate you pointing out the commands to forgive and to not be deceived too.
46 Then a dispute arose among them as to which of them would be greatest. 47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a little child and set him by Him, 48 and said to them, “Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. If it is mentioned twice in Luke, as well as in Matthew regarding how to be the greatest in the Kingdom of God, isn’t it worth our time to apply this to our fellowship and drop the titles and lording over each other?
