Doomsday Preppers

Doomsday Preppers

Many are preparing for an end to life as we know it. It’s good to be prepared for natural events. Even as we see some of these events become grander and grander. But the one survival preparation largely ignored:
Do you know Jesus Christ? Do you know that you are guilty of sin before the Lord from birth? If you believe that the Jesus has died for your sins and follow Him then you have the best preparation for eternity. There will always be struggles in this life that we should prepare for. Please consider what will happen at the end of this life.

Brother- this is so true. I read some posts on a survival forum and I see is people who all there lives are held captive by the fear of death to the point that they are no longer living. It is good to be prepared because our infrastructure is fragile, but not to be obsessed with it.

FYI… The US government suggests having 2 extra weeks of food and water in your home.

Prepping is very expensive eh, as in freeze-dried meals. Good on em if they can afford it.

    Freeze-dried food for 3 1/2 years of the great tribulation will cost $50 000 ? $100 000 ? I’m guessing. Plus fuel.

If someone has the money, it shouldn’t take them long to stock up a bunker with 3 1/2 yrs of food and water.

I mean, there would be no need to get obsessive about it. They could stock up their bunker and then get on with preaching the gospel.

Thanks for your comments brothers. There are a number of Christians preparing for tough times too. Some I believe are directed by the Lord, some maybe not so much. I like what you wrote Ian: “They could stock up their bunker and then get on with preaching the gospel.” What ever we do for preparations must not isolate ourselves. It should always be done with the Gospel in mind and for sharing with neighbors and sojourners alike. You’re right Jim many people do have a very dark idea that once the infrastructure is gone, then it’s just them and their gun against the world.

Here’s what I think. A plot of land big enough to grow fruit and veggies, some livestock and space for brothers and sisters in the Lord; or whoever the Lord directed our way. Everyone would pitch in, but the focus would be on ministering to the community, towns or cities out and around us.
I know of an internet ministry that says he is supposed to put together a Christian community for the end times. I’ve followed it for a number of years as far as reading and taking an interest to see if the Lord was really in it. But all I see is a lot of people in disunity and leaning on the arm of the flesh. To date no community has been established. If there is or was ever to be one it has to be the Lord that brings the right people together. Not people reaching out to whoever has an interest.

    Matthew 6:25-34 [Full Chapter]
[ Do Not Worry ] “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

  6. Al Nelson says:

Amen Steve, We need not worry at all. For the Lord Himself is well able to supply us and point us in the right direction.
