Jesus is the Glue

that keeps our relationships together when our foundation is Christ Jesus. For when we are striving against each other and there is disagreement, even in a marriage, then we must humble ourselves. Both the husband and the wife, or the brothers, sisters and so on. For if we cannot be humble and admit our sin against each other, ask forgiveness and seek Christ, then how can we then yet enter the Kingdom?

25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” (Mark 11:25-26)

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for

“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (IPeter 5:5-11)

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us[b] with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. (Romans 8:26-30)

And there are many more verses brethren! Let us seek the high road in Christ being conformed to His character and nature which is His image. Blessings in Christ Jesus as you seek Him.

  1. Rich Kelley says:

The statement of John the Baptist in John 3:30 “He must increase, but I must decrease” sums up what has to be happening in the life of the disciple of Christ. Replacing self with Christ is done as we walk the narrow path. Christ encourages us to pick up our cross daily because He knew it was going to require daily attention to put off the old and grow in Him. The end result will be just as Christ said about His relationship with the Father in John 10:30 “I and My Father are one” we will say we are one with the Father and the Son.

Amen brother, we are in agreement. Praise Jesus! Drop me a line sometime. Would like to get to know other brothers and sisters in the Lord. I also video chat on google plus. (lastdaysoftheage@yahoo.com)
